Sulaymaniyah; Death of a Peshmerga Following Drone Attack by the Islamic Regime of Iran

Ghazal Molan Cheparabad, a young Peshmerga of the Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan, lost her life following a drone attack by forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the headquarters of this party in the Surdash area, near Sulaymaniyah, after being transferred to the hospital due to the severity of her injuries.

According to Kolbarnews on the evening of Tuesday, April 14, 2026, Ghazal Molan Cheparabad, from Mahabad and a Peshmerga of the Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan, was severely injured during a drone attack by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on the “Surdash” camp and died hours later in a medical center. During this attack, at least two other Peshmerga were also injured, whose general condition has been reported as stable.

This attack occurred while the seventh day since the announcement of a ceasefire between Iran, Israel, and the United States had passed. However, the forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, using suicide drones, simultaneously targeted the headquarters of Kurdish parties, including the Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan and the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan, in areas around Sulaymaniyah.
