Karaj; Death of Milad Gachlo During Nationwide Protests

Milad Gachlo, a 39-year-old Kurdish man from Bijar and a resident of Meshkin Dasht, Karaj, has been identified as another victim of the nationwide protests.

According to Kolbarnews, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, Milad Gachlo was directly targeted in the neck by pellet gunfire from suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic during nationwide protests in the Meshkin Dasht area of Karaj and lost his life.

According to received information, this Kurdish citizen was directly shot from the top of the Meshkin Dasht Basij base in Karaj, and the severity of the injuries caused by pellets striking his neck led to his death.

As of the time of publication of this report, no further details have been released regarding judicial proceedings or accountability of responsible institutions in this case, and the family of this victim is also under security pressure.
