Karaj; Death of Mehdi Karimpour by Government Forces’ Gunfire

Mehdi Karimpour, a 22-year-old Kurdish young man from Bijar and a resident of Meshkin Dasht, Karaj, has been identified as another victim of the nationwide protests.

According to Kolbarnews, on Saturday, January 10, 2026, Mehdi Karimpour was returning home with his wife from a supermarket in Meshkin Dasht, when he was targeted at close range by pellet gunfire from government motorcyclist forces and was severely injured.

This young citizen lost his life on the way to the hospital due to the severity of his injuries.
His wife was also injured in the shooting and was discharged from the hospital after several days of hospitalization.

The body of Mehdi Karimpour was handed over to his family on Monday, January 12, 2026, and was buried in the Meshkin Dasht cemetery in Karaj.

Mehdi Karimpour owned a clothing boutique and had recently begun his married life.
