Seyed Rahman Hosseini, a former political prisoner and 58-year-old citizen from Piranshahr, was temporarily released from prison after approximately eleven months of detention upon the posting of heavy bail.
According to Kolbarnews, during recent days, Seyed Rahman Hosseini, a 58-year-old citizen from Piranshahr, was released from prison after posting heavy bail.
This citizen had previously been arrested on Friday, June 20, 2025, by security forces in Piranshahr County and, after undergoing interrogation and investigation procedures, had been transferred to prison. Simultaneously with him, Ahmad Mam Sharifi had also been arrested by security forces.
According to received information, on Thursday, November 20, 2025, Seyed Rahman Hosseini was sentenced by a branch of the Revolutionary Court of Piranshahr to three years and three months of discretionary imprisonment on the charge of “propaganda against the system of the Islamic Republic.”
This former political prisoner had previously also experienced arrest and imprisonment in 2005.
