The identities of three Kurdish citizens named Naser Nasiri from Rostamabad in Gilan Province, Omid Saeedi from Sanandaj, and Arslan Ghahremani from Divandarreh, who were killed by direct gunfire from government suppressive forces during the January protests in Tehran, have been confirmed.

According to Kolbarnews, on the evening of Thursday, January 8, 2026, Naser Nasiri, a Kurdish citizen from Rostamabad in Gilan Province, Omid Saeedi, 39 years old and from Sanandaj, and Arslan Ghahremani, 26 years old and from the village of Cheshmeh Sefid (Kanicherma) in Divandarreh County, were killed by direct gunfire from government suppressive forces during popular protests in Tehran.
Based on the information received, these three citizens were shot by government forces and died at the scene.
In addition, informed sources have reported that Pouria Saeedi, the brother of Omid Saeedi, was wounded by pellet gunfire after his brother was killed and was then arrested by security forces. So far, no information is available regarding his health condition or place of detention.
It should be noted that government institutions, after obtaining a written commitment from Arslan Ghahremani’s family prohibiting any media disclosure, took 500 million tomans from them in exchange for handing over their son’s body. Additionally, 700 million tomans were taken from Omid Saeedi’s family for the delivery of his body.
