Robina Aminian, a student at Shariati Technical University of Tehran and originally from Nowsheh (Nodsheh) in Kermanshah Province, was killed during nationwide protests in Tehran after being shot directly by forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to Kolbarnews, on Thursday, January 9, 2026, Robina Aminian, 23 years old, a Kurdish citizen from Nowsheh and a resident of Kermanshah, and a student of design and visual arts at Shariati Technical University, was shot dead during street protests in Tehran. Reports indicate that she was shot from close range, from behind, and died after being struck in the head.
Based on received information, security forces initially refused to hand over her body to her family.
After repeated follow-ups, the family was taken to a morgue to identify her body. Eventually, despite intense security pressure and intimidation, the family managed to receive Robina Aminian’s body.
However, authorities prevented any funeral or mourning ceremonies, including gatherings at relatives’ homes in a village near Marivan.
Robina Aminian is the 23rd Kurdish citizen confirmed to have been killed by direct gunfire from state forces during the recent protests.
