Tehran; Death of Milad Norouzian During the nationwide Protests

Milad Norouzian, a 26-year-old Kurmanj Kurd from Bojnord and a resident of Shahriar, Tehran, has been identified as another victim of the nationwide protests on January 8, 2026.

According to Kolbarnews, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, Milad Norouzian was directly shot by repression forces during the nationwide protests at “Telecommunications Intersection” in Shahriar.
According to obtained information, he was severely injured after being struck by two live bullets in the leg and side, and he lost his life due to the severity of his injuries.

An informed source stated that during clashes between Basij forces and special units and protesters, direct gunfire was opened toward the people, and Milad Norouzian was shot at the scene.
His body was discovered a few days later in Kahrizak.

Milad Norouzian’s body was handed over to his family after a security process and under pressure from responsible authorities.
According to received information, the handover was delayed and carried out under the supervision of security forces, and his family was forced to hold the burial ceremony at Shahriar Cemetery in Tehran under restricted and controlled conditions.
