Sanandaj; Temporary Release of Three Women’s Rights Activists on Bail

Three women’s rights activists named “Shahrzad Rezaei,” “Atiyeh Golchini,” and “Marzieh Moradveisi” were temporarily released from detention on bail pending the completion of judicial proceedings.

According to Kolbarnews, on Saturday, January 31, 2026, Shahrzad Rezaei, Atiyeh Golchini, and Marzieh Moradveisi, three women’s rights activists from Sanandaj who had been arrested by security forces in recent weeks, were temporarily released after initial interrogations and the formation of judicial cases, upon the posting of bail. The details of the charges raised and the exact amounts of bail set by judicial authorities have not yet been officially announced.

Previously, Marzieh Moradveisi and Atiyeh Golchini had been arrested separately by government forces in Sanandaj, and for a period of time no information about their fate or place of detention was available to their families and relatives. Marzieh Moradveisi is a member of the charitable campaign “Zhianehveh” and, according to available information, had previously experienced arrest and the issuance of judicial sentences.

Shahrzad Rezaei was also arrested on Thursday, January 15, 2026, by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran at her private residence without the presentation of a judicial warrant and was transferred to an unknown location. This civil activist had previously been arrested due to her activities during the “Jina” revolutionary movement.

Despite the temporary release of these three women’s rights activists, their judicial cases remain open and legal proceedings against them continue.
