Hossein Nik-Saresht and Sina Nik-Saresht, a father and son from the village of Torshkan, a district of Mahabad County, were arbitrarily arrested by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and transferred to an unknown location, and so far no information is available about their fate.
According to Kolbarnews, on Saturday, January 17, 2026, Hossein Nik-Saresht and Sina Nik-Saresht, citizens from the village of Torshkan, were arrested by security forces of the Intelligence Department without the presentation of a judicial warrant and transferred to an unknown location.
Based on the information received, as of the time of publication of this report, no information is available regarding the place of detention, health condition, or reasons for the arrest of these two citizens.
It should be noted that security forces have so far provided no explanation regarding the arrest of Hossein and Sina Nik-Saresht, and the family’s efforts to obtain information about their fate have been unsuccessful.
