Bukan; Arrest of a Citizen and Transfer to a Security Detention Center in Urmia

Amir Yousofi, a citizen from the village of “Salamat” in the district of Bukan, was arrested by security forces and transferred to a security detention center in Urmia.

According to Kolbarnews, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, security forces arrested Amir Yousofi in Bukan without presenting a judicial warrant.
According to obtained information, this citizen was held for one day in the detention center of Bukan after his arrest and was then transferred to one of the security detention centers in Urmia.

So far, the security and judicial institutions have not provided any information regarding the reasons for the arrest, possible charges, the status of his case, or the exact location of his detention, and his family also remains unaware of his condition.

The continued detention and transfer of Amir Yousofi to a security detention center have taken place while he remains deprived of access to a lawyer and free contact with his family.
