Sanandaj; Temporary Release of Behnam Fatehi on one Billion Toman Bail

Behnam Fatehi, a citizen from Sanandaj and employed as a mechanic, was temporarily released from Sanandaj Central Prison after 24 days of detention upon posting bail.

According to Kolbarnews, on Sunday, February 1, 2026, Behnam Fatehi was temporarily released from Sanandaj Prison pending the completion of judicial proceedings after posting bail in the amount of one billion tomans.

Behnam Fatehi had been arrested on the morning of Thursday, January 8, 2026, by forces of the Sanandaj Intelligence Department without the presentation of a judicial warrant. The arrest took place at around 10:00 a.m., after which he was transferred to an unknown location. This citizen spent a total of 24 days in detention.

During the period of detention, no official information regarding his place of detention, physical condition, or the handling of his case was provided to his family. Repeated follow-ups by Behnam Fatehi’s family and relatives to obtain information about his fate were unsuccessful, and this situation had raised serious concerns about his physical well-being and the observance of his legal rights.
