Ribwar Marabi, a citizen from Kamiyaran and one of those detained during the January protests in Tehran, was sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment by Branch 28 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court.

According to Kolbarnews, Ribwar Marabi, 26 years old, from the village of Marab, a district of Kamiyaran and a resident of Tehran, was sentenced by the ruling of Mohammadreza Amouzad, head of Branch 28 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, to 10 years in prison on the charge of “cooperation with Israel.”
According to this report, Marabi was deprived of the right to access a lawyer and to meet with his family during his detention and throughout the judicial proceedings. He has spent more than one month in Greater Tehran Prison and remains detained there.
Ribwar Marabi had worked for years as a chef in Tehran and his residence was also in this city. However, the issued indictment claimed that he moved to Tehran solely with the aim of cooperating with Israel and participating in protests.
He was arrested on the evening of Friday, January 9, 2026, during protests in Tehran and was subsequently transferred to Greater Tehran Prison.
