Tehran; Death of Alireza Bidaki, a 20-year-old Kurdish Young Man From Bojnord, by Live Gunfire

Alireza Bidaki, a 20-year-old Kurdish Kormanj young man from Bojnord and a resident of Tehran, is the identity of another person killed in the nationwide protests in Tehran who lost his life during the street crackdown after being directly shot with live ammunition.

According to Kolbarnews, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, Alireza Bidaki, a 20-year-old Kurdish Kormanj young man from Bojnord and a resident of Tehran, was targeted by direct gunfire from suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic during nationwide protests in Tehran and died after being struck by a live bullet in the side of his body. After being transferred to Kahrizak in Tehran, the body of this deceased individual was identified by his family and was ultimately buried on Saturday, January 10, 2026, in the village of “Bidak,” a district of Bojnord County in North Khorasan Province.

According to the usual practices of security institutions, the handover of the body of this deceased individual was accompanied by security pressure and restrictions, and Alireza Bidaki’s family was forced under threats and monitoring by security institutions to hold the burial ceremony under restricted conditions.
