Three days after the arrest of Shahram Pasoupish, a citizen from Piranshahr, no information has yet been released regarding his physical condition, place of detention, or fate, and his family remains in complete uncertainty.

According to Kolbarnews, on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, government forces raided the family home of Shahram Pasoupish in the village of “Chiane,” a district of Piranshahr, and arrested him without presenting a judicial warrant before transferring him to an undisclosed location.
According to received information, the follow-ups by Shahram Pasoupish’s family with the security and judicial institutions of Piranshahr to obtain information about his condition have so far remained unsuccessful, and officials have refused to provide any explanation regarding his status.
At the time of compiling this report, the reason for the arrest and the possible charges brought against this Kurdish citizen remain unclear.
Previously, on Saturday, April 25, 2026, Ezzeddin Pasoupish, Shahram’s cousin, had also been arrested by government forces and transferred to one of the security detention centers in Urmia for interrogation.
