Tehran; Death of a Kurdish Young Man by Direct Live Gunfire

Sajjad Gorji, a young man from Dinavar County in Kermanshah Province, is another of those killed in the nationwide protests who lost his life during street repression.

According to Kolbarnews, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, Sajjad Gorji was targeted by direct live gunfire from suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic during nationwide protests in Tehran and lost his life after being shot.
He was married and the father of a five-year-old daughter, and had migrated from Kermanshah to Tehran to earn a living.

His body was handed over to his family after several days under security pressure.

The killing of Sajjad Gorji has caused a wave of grief and anger among his family, relatives, and Kurdish citizens, and has intensified concerns about the continued use of live ammunition against protesters.
