Shirvan; 43 Days of No Information About the Fate of a Citizen

Forty-three days after the arrest of Hassan Zare, a 30-year-old Kurdish citizen from the village of “Gogoli” in Shirvan, North Khorasan, there is still no information about his place of detention or condition, and concerns about his life and fate have increased.

According to Kolbarnews, on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, Hassan Zare was arrested by security forces without the presentation of any judicial warrant and transferred to an unknown location. Since his arrest, despite repeated visits and follow-ups by his family to various authorities, they have received no response regarding the place of detention or the legal status of this Kurdish citizen.
According to available information, he has been deprived of the right to access a lawyer during his detention, and he has not been allowed to contact or meet with his family. The continuation of this situation has led to serious concerns regarding his health and safety.

Hassan Zare is a Kurmanj Kurdish resident of Shirvan and a married individual, and the ongoing lack of information about his situation has placed his family in a difficult and distressing condition.
