Jafar Sadeqi, a citizen from Oshnavieh County, has been sentenced to 10 months of discretionary imprisonment by Branch 101 of the Second Criminal Court of this county.
According to Kolbarnews, Jafar Sadeqi was sentenced to prison. As reported, he was convicted by Branch 101 of the Second Criminal Court of Oshnavieh on the charge of “propaganda against the regime” and sentenced to 10 months of discretionary imprisonment.
It is worth noting that the jurisdiction over “propaganda against the regime” typically lies with the Revolutionary Court. However, due to the absence of a Revolutionary Court in Oshnavieh, security-related cases are referred to the Revolutionary Court of Mahabad. Ultimately, after review and issuance of a verdict, the case is transferred back to the Criminal Court of Oshnavieh for sentencing.
Jafar Sadeqi had previously been arrested by security forces and was later released on bail.
He is a mountaineering and rock climbing instructor, and a member of the Baran Mountaineering Group in Oshnavieh.
