Sirvan; 21 Days of Detention and Lack of Information About the Fate of Elias Javanmard

Elias Javanmard, a 38-year-old Kurdish citizen from the city of Lumar, a district of Sirvan County in Ilam Province, remains in complete uncertainty 21 days after his arrest, and no official information about his place of detention or condition is available, and his family is deeply concerned about his life and fate.

According to Kolbarnews, on Sunday, January 18, 2026, Elias Javanmard was arrested by security forces without presenting any judicial warrant and transferred to an unknown location. Despite continuous follow-ups by his family and relatives, responsible institutions have so far provided no explanation about the place of detention or condition of this Kurdish citizen, which has increased concerns.

According to received information, Elias Javanmard has been completely deprived of the right to telephone contact, family visits, and access to a lawyer during his 21 days of arbitrary detention. The continuation of this situation and the ongoing complete lack of information have intensified serious concerns about his physical and mental health and fate among his family and relatives.

Elias Javanmard is married, has a child, and is the head of his household.
