In continuation of the trend of arrests of Kurdish citizens in different cities, two citizens from Miandoab, named Jamal Abdollahi and Behzad Abdi, were arrested by security forces.

According to Kolbarnews, in the early hours of Monday, February 9, 2026, at 3:00 a.m., security forces entered the personal homes of these two citizens and arrested them without presenting a judicial warrant. Jamal Abdollahi, from the village of “Gog Jelo,” and Behzad Abdi, from the village of “Gavmish Geli,” both districts of Miandoab, were arrested during this raid and then transferred to an unknown location. According to received information, at the same time as the arrest of these two citizens, security forces also confiscated their mobile phones and the phones of their family members and took them with them.
Jamal Abdollahi is 41 years old, married, and has two children, and Behzad Abdi is 25 years old, married, and has one child.
As of the time of publication of this report, no information is available regarding their place of detention, condition, or the reasons for their arrest or possible charges against these two Kurdish citizens, and security institutions have not provided any explanation in this regard.
