Two citizens from Mahabad were arrested in early April, and after 10 days, there is still no information available about their condition.
According to Kolbarnews, in the early hours of Tuesday, March 24, 2026, forces of the Intelligence Department raided the homes of Shahab Foroughirad and Shahram Azizi in the city of Mahabad and arrested them.
The arrests took place around 2 a.m. by plainclothes forces and, according to reports, were accompanied by violence.
Based on this report, agents carried out the arrests without presenting a judicial warrant and created an atmosphere of fear and intimidation.
It is worth noting that both of these citizens are married and have children.
