In continuation of the wave of widespread arrests of citizens in Ilam Province, 8 youths and teenagers in the cities of Dareh-Shahr, Malekshahi, Sarableh, Dehloran, Murmuri, and Abdanan have been arrested by security forces and transferred to unknown locations.

According to Kolbarnews, on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, Mohammad Piri, a 17-year-old teenager from Dehloran, Ali Zini-vandi, a 14-year-old teenager from Dehloran, Armin Pirani, a Kurdish young man from Abdanan, and Ruhollah Sheikhi, a 38-year-old from Murmuri, were arrested. On Wednesday, February 18, 2026, Mohammadjavad Zini-vandi, a 14-year-old teenager from Dareh-Shahr, Milad Tabarai, a Kurdish young man from Malekshahi, and Majid Porrang, a 39-year-old from Sarableh, were arrested by security forces. Also, on Thursday, February 19, 2026, Pejman Asl-Marz, an 18-year-old young man from Dareh-Shahr, was arrested.
According to received information, these arrests were carried out without presenting judicial warrants and with violence. So far, no official institution has provided any explanation regarding the reasons for the arrests or the place of detention of these individuals.
Among those arrested, Armin Pirani was arrested during the fortieth-day memorial ceremony of Alireza Seidi, a teenage victim from Abdanan, in Tehran. He had previously also been arrested on Thursday, January 8, 2026.
The continuation of these arrests has caused concern among the families of these citizens.
