Esfarayen; Continued Detention and Legal Uncertainty of Amirhossein Nazarzadeh in the City Prison

Amirhossein Nazarzadeh, a 27-year-old Kurdish young man from the village of Fartan, a subdivision of Esfarayen, has been held in Esfarayen Prison for 31 days since his arrest without any judicial determination of his case.

According to Kolbarnews, on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, Amirhossein Nazarzadeh was arrested by security forces without presenting a judicial warrant and transferred to an unknown location.

After undergoing interrogation procedures, this citizen was transferred to Esfarayen Prison, but despite the completion of interrogations, the status of his case remains unclear, and no transparent or fair legal process regarding his detention has been announced.

During this period, Amirhossein Nazarzadeh has been deprived of the right to family visits and access to a lawyer. His family, in their follow-ups with judicial and security authorities, have not received any clear response regarding the reasons for his arrest or his legal status.

The continuation of detention without a judicial ruling and deprivation of basic rights has increased concerns about the condition of this Kurdish young man.
