According to reports, at least twelve Kurdish labor activists residing in Damavand have recently been summoned, interrogated, and had their mobile phones confiscated by security forces. Among them, Farzad Rostami has been arrested and transferred to an unknown location.

According to Kolbarnews, at least twelve Kurdish labor activists; Mehdi Ghasemi, Loqman Ghasemi, Shaho Ghasemi, Farzin Rostami, Behzad Rostami, Shapour Habibi, Jalal Mohammadi, Jamil Safidi, Siwan Ghasemi, Farshad Maleki-Docht, and Eqbal Moradizarr have recently been summoned, interrogated, and had their mobile phones confiscated by security forces.
in recent days, Farzad Rostami, a labor activist originally from Avihang village in Sanandaj County and currently living in Damavand, was detained by security forces and taken to an undisclosed location. At the same time, security forces summoned and interrogated the other eleven activists listed above. After the questioning, their mobile phones were seized, but they were released.
Sources close to these activists report that the pressure on them is due to their participation in International Workers’ Day (May 1st) events.
All twelve individuals are originally from Avihang village, a district of Sanandaj, and currently reside in Damavand.
