As a result of a collision between a Sukhtbari vehicle and a Samand on the Beris–Chabahar coastal road, one Sukhtbar lost his life and another person was injured.
According to Kolbarnews, on Saturday, December 20, 2025, following a collision between a Sukhtbari vehicle and a Samand passenger car on the Beris–Chabahar coastal route, one Sukhtbar lost his life and one of the occupants of the Samand vehicle was injured.
The identity of the deceased Baloch Sukhtbar has been announced as Saeed Jadgalnia, known as “Cheragh,” 34 years old, son of Khodabakhsh, and a resident of the village of Kalarayi in Dashtiari County.
Due to the severity of the accident, both vehicles caught fire and were completely burned. Saeed Jadgalnia lost his life in the very initial moments of the incident.
Sukhtbari is considered one of the unconventional and dangerous jobs that many Baloch people in Balochistan have been forced to turn to due to the lack of suitable and stable employment. Accidents, vehicle overturns, and direct gunfire from military and security forces are among the dangers that threaten the lives of these Sukhtbars. According to reports from Baloch activists, in the year 2024, at least 375 Baloch Sukhtbars have been injured or lost their lives due to shootings by military forces, traffic accidents, and vehicle fires. Of this number, 240 Sukhtbars were killed and 135 were injured, representing a 55% increase in the number of killed and injured Sukhtbars compared to the year 2023.
