Bojnord; Complete Uncertainty About the Condition of Ali Khani After 29 Days of Arbitrary Detention

After 29 days since the arrest of Ali Khani, a Kurdish citizen from Bojnord, there is still no information regarding his place of detention or his physical and legal condition, and the continuation of this lack of information has severely increased concerns about his life and fate.

According to Kolbarnews, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, Ali Khani was arrested by security forces without presenting any judicial warrant and was transferred to an unknown location. Since the time of his arrest, security institutions have refused to provide any official explanation regarding his place of detention or possible charges against this Kurdish citizen.
Based on received information, Ali Khani has been deprived of the right to access a lawyer and meet with his family during his detention period. However, in recent days, he was only able to make one brief phone call to his family, during which he reported extremely poor and critical conditions during his detention.

Sources close to Ali Khani’s family have stated that security pressures and the absence of any official accountability have caused severe concern among his relatives regarding his physical and psychological health as well as the unknown fate of this citizen.
