Ilam; Temporary Release of Mohammad Abbaszadeh After 23 Days of Detention With Signs of Severe Torture

Mohammad Abbaszadeh, a well-known artist from Ilam, was temporarily released on January 31, 2026, after 23 days of arbitrary detention, being held in unknown security locations, and transfer to Ilam Prison, upon posting a heavy bail.

According to Kolbarnews, Mohammad Abbaszadeh, after being arrested by security forces without presenting a judicial warrant, was transferred to an unknown location and placed in solitary confinement under intense and violent interrogations. Informed sources have stated that he was subjected to severe physical torture during this period.
Based on obtained information, as a result of beatings and torture during detention, Mohammad Abbaszadeh’s eardrum was ruptured, and he is now facing serious hearing problems even after his release. His physical condition after release has been described as concerning.

According to these sources, after the completion of interrogation stages and transfer to Ilam Prison, a bail of five billion tomans was issued for this Kurdish artist, and he was temporarily released upon posting this bail.
