Urmia; Continued Detention and Legal Limbo of Kaveh Rahimi, Citizen from Bukan

Kaveh Rahimi, a citizen from Bukan, remains in legal limbo in Urmia Prison 88 days after his arrest.

According to Kolbarnews, Kaveh Rahimi is still being held without due process.
Despite nearly three months in detention, he has been denied temporary release and the right to legal representation.

Kaveh Rahimi was arrested on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, in Bukan by security forces without a judicial warrant.

Following his arrest, he was held incommunicado at an undisclosed location for more than a month before being transferred to Urmia Prison.

As of the time of this report, no information has been provided regarding the charges or reasons for his arrest.

Kaveh Rahimi, aged 40, is a resident of Nachit village in Bukan County.
