Kermanshah; Arrest of a Citizen by Security Forces

Mahsa Zarei, a cultural activist from Kermanshah, was arrested by security forces.

According to Kolbarnews, on Friday, January 2, 2026, Mahsa Zarei, a cultural activist from Kermanshah, was arrested by security forces without the presentation of a judicial warrant and transferred to an unknown location.

Based on this report, Ms. Zarei was arrested at her workplace.

As of the time of drafting this report, no information has been obtained regarding the reasons for her arrest, her place of detention, or the charges brought against this cultural activist.

It is worth noting that Mahsa Zarei had previously been arrested by security forces on Sunday, May 25, 2025, and after one week, on May 31, 2025, she was temporarily released on bail pending the completion of judicial proceedings.
