Two weeks after the arbitrary arrest of Omid Amani, a 30-year-old citizen from Kamiyaran and a resident of Tehran, there is still no information available about his place of detention or condition, and concern among his family and relatives about his life and fate has increased.
According to Kolbarnews, in early February 2026, more than 12 security forces raided Omid Amani’s family home at 2:00 a.m., arrested him without presenting a judicial warrant, and transferred him to an unknown location. Since his arrest, no official institution has responded regarding the situation of this citizen.
According to received information, Omid Amani has been deprived of the right to access a lawyer during his detention, and he has not been allowed telephone contact or visits with his family.
As of the time of preparing this report, the reason for his arrest and the charges against this Kurdish citizen have not been announced by security and judicial institutions, and the lack of information continues.
