Khorramabad; Sentencing of a Citizen to One Year in Prison and Two Years of Exile to Sarakhs

Amin Masouri, a writer and researcher from Khorramabad, has been sentenced by the Revolutionary Court of this city to one year of discretionary imprisonment and two years of exile to Sarakhs County.

According to Kolbarnews, Branch One of the Khorramabad Revolutionary Court issued a verdict sentencing Amin Masouri on the charge of “propaganda activity in favor of groups and organizations opposing the state” to one year of discretionary imprisonment and two years of compulsory residence in Sarakhs County. This verdict has been formally communicated to him in person.

Amin Masouri was arrested in August of this year by forces of the Intelligence Office in Khorramabad and was later transferred to Parsilon Prison in the city. On September 15 of the same year, he was temporarily released from Parsilon Prison after posting bail of 5 billion rials (500 million tomans).

This writer and researcher has previously faced arrest and judicial action due to his activities.
