Quchan; Death of Amirhossein Ghardashi After 21 Days in a Coma Due to Live Gunfire

Amirhossein Ghardashi, a 16-year-old Kurdish child from the city of Quchan in Razavi Khorasan Province, lost his life after being hospitalized in a coma for 21 days due to injuries caused by live gunfire.

According to Kolbarnews, on Friday, January 30, 2026, Amirhossein Ghardashi, who had been shot by suppressive forces during nationwide protests on Friday, January 9, 2026, in the city of Mashhad, was severely injured after being struck by live ammunition in the side and was transferred to medical centers.

During his hospitalization, this child underwent fifteen surgical operations, but due to the severity of his injuries, he died after 21 days in a coma.

According to obtained information, his physical condition had been reported as critical since his transfer to the hospital, and the efforts of medical staff to save his life were unsuccessful.

In similar cases, the bodies of protest victims have been handed over to families after security procedures and under pressure, and burial ceremonies have been held under security supervision and restrictions.
