Amid the continuing security atmosphere, the Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has reported the mass arrest of 239 citizens in the provinces of Kermanshah and Kurdistan, claiming accusations such as espionage, membership in opposition groups, and arms trafficking.

According to Kolbarnews, citing HRANA, on Saturday, April 25, 2026, the Intelligence Organization of the IRGC announced that during several operations in the provinces of Kermanshah and Kurdistan, a total of 239 individuals were arrested.
Based on this report, 84 people in Kurdistan Province were arrested on charges such as “membership in opposition parties, trafficking of weapons, and satellite internet equipment,” and one person was also killed during these operations.
This security body also claimed that in Kermanshah Province, 144 individuals were arrested on charges of buying and selling illegal weapons, four individuals on charges of “spying for Mossad,” and seven others on charges of “membership in opposition groups, making homemade bombs, and purchasing illegal weapons.”
The report further states that quantities of weapons, ammunition, and satellite internet equipment were discovered and confiscated from the detainees.
At the same time, the lack of transparency regarding the identities of the detainees, their place of detention, and the process of their judicial proceedings has raised serious human rights concerns. This wave of mass arrests is taking place under conditions in which, following the 40-day war between Iran, Israel, and the United States, signs of intensified security measures and increased repression have been observed in various regions, especially in Kurdistan; a trend that may lead to further violations of fundamental citizens’ rights, including the right to a fair trial, access to a lawyer, and protection from arbitrary detention, and underscores the urgent need for attention by human rights institutions to the situation of the detainees.
