Behrouz Narimani-Mehr, a 33-year-old resident of Kermanshah and a resident of the Darreh-Derij neighborhood, is another victim of the popular protests in Kermanshah who was killed during the crackdown on protesters by direct fire from live ammunition by government forces.

According to Kolbarnews, on the evening of Thursday, January 9, 2026, Behrouz Narimani-Mehr, a Kurdish citizen from Kermanshah and a resident of the Darreh-Derij neighborhood, was directly targeted by live gunfire from suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic during popular protests in the area and lost his life. After follow-ups by his family, his body was handed over on Saturday, January 11, 2026, and was buried on Sunday, January 12, 2026, in the cemetery of the village of Anjirban-e Avareh-Ali, in Sarpol-e Zahab County. Behrouz Narimani-Mehr was married and the father of two daughters.
The handover of the bodies of those killed in the protests is usually accompanied by security pressure and control by government institutions. In many cases, families are placed under direct surveillance to restrict details of funeral ceremonies, the number of participants, and the burial location. This process has often forced families to choose alternative routes and surrounding areas to bury their loved ones.
