Mohammad Rezaei, a civil activist, Kurdish language teacher, and member of the NGO “Nozhin” from Dehgolan, was transferred to prison to begin serving his sentence after appearing in court to follow up on his judicial case.

According to Kolbarnews, on Saturday, June 6, 2026, Mohammad Rezaei, who had previously been summoned by judicial authorities, appeared before the court for notification of charges and to follow the proceedings of his case.
Although he had denied the accusations against him throughout various stages of the judicial process, the presiding judge upheld his conviction during a brief hearing and ordered his transfer to prison.
Mohammad Rezaei is a well-known civil activist in Dehgolan County who, over recent years, has repeatedly faced summonses, arrests, and judicial prosecution due to his civil and cultural activities.
Previously, according to Kolbarnews, Mohammad Rezaei, a Kurdish language teacher and member of the NGO “Nozhin,” had been sentenced by the Revolutionary Court to one year of discretionary imprisonment on charges of “propaganda against the state.” The hearing on the charges against him had been held in the lower court, and the issued verdict was officially communicated to him on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.
Mohammad Rezaei was arrested by security forces on Saturday, July 12, 2025, and after 55 days in detention at the Sanandaj Intelligence Department detention center, he was temporarily released on bail of 800 million tomans pending the completion of judicial proceedings.
