Mahabad; Vahab Hosseinzadeh Released on 10 Billion Toman Bail After 81 Days in Detention

Vahab Hosseinzadeh, a citizen from Mahabad, was temporarily released from the county prison after 81 days in detention upon posting a heavy bail bond.

According to Kolbarnews, on Monday, June 8, 2026, Vahab Hosseinzadeh, a resident of Mahabad, was temporarily released from Mahabad Prison after 81 days in detention upon posting bail set at 10 billion tomans.

According to received information, after the completion of interrogation procedures, this citizen had been transferred from a security detention center to Mahabad Prison. During his detention, he was deprived of access to legal counsel and visits with family members.

Vahab Hosseinzadeh had been arrested in the early hours of Friday, March 20, 2026, by security forces without the presentation of a judicial warrant and transferred to an undisclosed location.

Despite the passage of more than two months since his arrest, no precise information has yet been published regarding the reasons for his detention or the charges brought against him.
