Following workplace incidents in the three counties of Saqqez, Karaj, and Helilan, four workers suffered severe injuries due to unsafe working conditions.

According to Kolbarnews, in an incident that occurred on Friday, June 6, 2025, in Saqqez, a sanitation worker identified as Mohammad Feyzabadi was severely injured after being struck by a car while working near the Kurdistan Boulevard overpass. He later died from his injuries after being transferred to Shafa Hospital in Saqqez.
Also, on Thursday, June 5, 2025, two workers sustained superficial burns due to a fire that broke out in an auto repair shop in Karaj. Two men, aged 51 and 57, were injured and transferred to the hospital after receiving initial treatment.
In another incident in Helilan County, a combine harvester driver suffered severe injuries after his hand was caught in the machine’s engine while servicing the equipment. The incident occurred in one of the villages of Helilan County, and despite rescue efforts, the worker died due to the severity of his injuries.
It is worth noting that in the year 2024–2025, at least 2,042 workers lost their lives due to workplace accidents, and at least 16,113 workers were injured in workplace-related incidents.
Iran ranks 102nd globally in terms of adherence to workplace safety standards a very low ranking.
