Abdollah Mahjour and Salar Azar, nearly one month after their arrest, remain in an unknown condition, and no information is available regarding their place of detention or their situation. The continuation of this lack of information has raised serious concerns about their physical condition and security.

According to Kolbarnews, on Sunday, March 8, 2026, Abdollah Mahjour and Salar Azar, two citizens from Saqqez, were arrested by forces of the Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps after leaving their home. Salar Azar is 36 years old and Abdollah Mahjour is 59, and the two are relatives.
After 27 days since their arrest, security and judicial institutions, including the IRGC Intelligence and the Saqqez Prosecutor’s Office, have refused to provide any explanation regarding their condition or place of detention. This is while eyewitnesses have confirmed their arrest by IRGC forces.
Based on received information, after the arrest, the mobile phones of these two citizens were confiscated by security forces, and some incoming calls were even answered by them, an action that has increased ambiguity and concern about their situation.
It is reported that Abdollah Mahjour suffers from an underlying illness and disability and has previously experienced arrest and torture by security institutions. However, so far, no authority has officially accepted responsibility for the arrest and detention of these two citizens.
