Sajjad Shaghlani, a 21-year-old Kurdish young man from the city of Alvand in Qazvin Province, is identified as another victim of the nationwide protests who lost his life during the suppression of protesters.

According to Kolbarnews, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, Sajjad Shaghlani was targeted in the city of Alvand by direct fire of live ammunition from a sniper of the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic, and the bullet that struck his forehead caused his death.
Based on received information, only about 20 days had passed since the completion of this Kurdish young man’s mandatory military service.
According to an informed source, the body of Sajjad Shaghlani was buried on Saturday, January 10, 2026, in the cemetery of the city of Alvand.
Also, based on available information, two images of the body of this victim were obtained by news sources; one of these images shows Sajjad Shaghlani’s body lying on the street in the moments after the bullet struck his forehead, and the other image relates to his body in the morgue.
Reports indicate that in similar cases, security institutions, by applying pressure and restrictions on the families of victims, have attempted to control and limit the process of information dissemination and the holding of public ceremonies.
