Mohammad Hossein Rashtiani, a 19-year-old Kurdish young man from the city of Kangavar in Kermanshah Province, is identified as another victim of the nationwide protests who lost his life during the suppression of protesters.

According to Kolbarnews, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, Mohammad Hossein Rashtiani was targeted in Mohammadshahr, Karaj, by direct fire of live ammunition by the repressive forces of the Islamic Republic, was shot in the chest, and lost his life due to the severity of his injuries.
Based on received information, the body of this Kurdish young man had been kept in the morgue since January 8, and his family was unaware of the location of their child’s body until January 10, during which time they were searching for him.
The body of Mohammad Hossein Rashtiani was delivered to his family on Saturday, January 10, 2026, and one day later, on January 11, 2026, he was buried in the “Behesht Ali” cemetery located in Eshtehard.
Reports indicate that after the delivery of the body, the family of this victim was placed under severe pressure and threats by security institutions and faced serious restrictions in holding ceremonies and disseminating information.
