Paveh: 17-Year-Old Zhivar Rahmani Seriously Injured After Being Shot by Government Forces

A 17-year-old teenager, Zhivar Rahmani, from the village of Nīsāneh in Paveh, was severely injured after being directly shot by government forces stationed at the Melandar outpost. His condition is reported to be critical.

According to Kolbarnews, on the evening of Tuesday, December 9, 2025, Zhivar Rahmani’s vehicle was targeted without any prior warning.
As a result of the attack, 18 bullets struck the vehicle, and six bullets hit the teenager’s body. Local sources say the shooting was carried out under the suspicion of “carrying smuggled goods,” despite the fact that Zhivar’s vehicle was parked in an authorized area.

After being shot in the back and neck and suffering a severe spinal injury, he was transferred to Taleghani Hospital in Kermanshah for specialized treatment.
Reports indicate that his condition remains extremely critical. Doctors have stated that Zhivar will need to undergo several surgeries in the coming days, each carrying significant risk.

As of the time of this report, no official explanation has been provided by government authorities regarding the reason for the direct gunfire.

According to statistics recorded by Kolbarnews, in the first six months of 1404 (Iranian calendar), a total of 37 Kolbars in the border areas and intercity routes of West Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, and Kermanshah provinces were killed or injured due to factors such as direct gunfire by regime military forces, avalanches and freezing, landmines, falls from mountains and heights, and other incidents. Of this number: 17 Kolbars (46%) were killed, 20 Kolbars (54%) were injured. Out of the total 37 cases in the first half of 1404, 32 incidents (86%) resulted from direct gunfire by regime military forces. Among these victims, 1 Kolbar (3%) was a child under 18, who was killed by direct gunfire from Iraqi border guards (Haras al-Hudud).
