Milad Ganjdoost, a 26-year-old resident of Eslamabad-e Gharb, is another protester who died after being seriously wounded by direct live fire from government forces and later succumbing to his injuries.

According to Kolbarnews, Milad Ganjdoost, a 26-year-old from Eslamabad-e Gharb in Kermanshah Province, was shot with live ammunition on the evening of Thursday, January 7, 2026, during public protests in the city, near the Imam Hossein Mosque in Shabad. He was critically injured and, despite his severe condition, died several days later as a result of his wounds.
Milad Ganjdoost’s body was buried on January 13, 2026, in the village of Seydayaz, located in the Gowarreh District of Gilan-e Gharb County, Kermanshah Province.
As of the time of this report, it remains unclear whether Milad Ganjdoost’s family was forced to pay money or sign a written pledge in order to receive his body. However, informed sources have previously told Kolbarnews that government institutions in Kermanshah Province have demanded amounts ranging from 700 million to one billion tomans from families in exchange for handing over the bodies of those killed during the protests, leaving families with little choice but to comply.
Reports further indicate that in most cases involving victims of the protests in Eslamabad-e Gharb, security forces have not allowed families to bury their loved ones in the city’s cemetery.
Instead, families have been forced to transfer the bodies to surrounding villages for burial.
Additionally, sources report that security agencies have pressured the families of several victims to falsely attribute the shootings to Kurdish opposition parties. At the same time, military and security forces reportedly raided Eslamabad-e Gharb Hospital on January 7 and 8 in an attempt to arrest injured protesters. As a result, many families were forced to secretly remove wounded relatives or the bodies of those killed from the hospital to avoid further repression.
