Mohammad Esmaili and Ahmad Zarang, two citizens from Bukan, were temporarily released from detention in recent days, each after posting bail of 1.5 billion tomans, pending the completion of judicial proceedings.
According to Kolbarnews, in the early hours of Friday, December 5, 2025, Soleiman Esmaili, a citizen from Amirabad, Bukan, was arrested during a raid by security forces on his private residence without the presentation of a judicial warrant and was transferred to an unknown location.
An informed source stated that around 30 members of security forces, the IRGC, and local government forces raided this citizen’s home and, while searching and damaging parts of the house, confiscated family members’ mobile phones and several books.
Security forces also attacked Mohammad Esmaili’s garden house near the Amirabad University of Applied Science, firing live ammunition and damaging its doors, windows, and walls. Mohammad Esmaili is approximately 60 years old and married.
Around midnight on Friday, December 5, 2025, Ahmad Zarang, son of Ghafoor and a resident of the village of “Gololan,” was also arrested during a violent raid by security forces on his family home, without the presentation of a judicial warrant, and was transferred to an unknown location. Security forces arrested him using physical violence and, during the raid, confiscated personal belongings, including the family’s mobile phones, without any legal authorization.
As of the time of publication of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for the arrest of these two Kurdish citizens or the charges brought against them.
