Ebrahim Mardani, a citizen from Bukan, remains in an uncertain condition in the prison of this city after nearly five months since his arrest, and his judicial fate remains unclear.

According to Kolbarnews on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, Ebrahim Mardani was arrested by forces of the Intelligence Department without the presentation of a judicial warrant and, after undergoing interrogation procedures, was transferred to Bukan Prison. During the entire period of detention, this citizen has been deprived of the right to access a lawyer and, according to reports, while being held in the Intelligence detention center, he was subjected to pressure and torture in order to extract forced confessions.
Based on the information received, despite several months having passed since his arrest, the Intelligence Department of Bukan has prevented the temporary release of this citizen on bail, and his situation remains unresolved.
As of the time of preparing this report, no transparent explanation has been provided regarding the reasons for the arrest or the possible charges against Ebrahim Mardani.
Ebrahim Mardani has previously also had a history of arrest. Among these cases, on May 3, 2025, he was arrested without the presentation of a judicial warrant because of holding his child’s wedding ceremony attended by guests wearing Kurdish clothing. Additionally, on July 8, 2019, security forces raided his home, arrested him, and after a period of interrogation, transferred him to Bukan Prison on July 27 of the same year.
