Bukan; Arrest of a Citizen and Transfer to a Security Detention Center in Urmia

Maryam Davoudian, a 58-year-old citizen from Bukan, was arrested after being summoned to judicial authorities and transferred to one of the security detention centers in Urmia.

According to Kolbarnews, on Monday, April 20, 2026, Maryam Davoudian, a resident of Bukan, was arrested after appearing at the investigative branch of the prosecutor’s office of this city. According to the report, a 10-day detention order was issued for this citizen, and she was immediately transferred for interrogation to one of the government detention centers in Urmia.

Previously, on Tuesday, April 14, government forces had raided the family home of this citizen without presenting a judicial warrant and, while searching the premises, confiscated her mobile phone.
She had also been summoned to security institutions on Saturday, April 18, and was interrogated for several hours.

According to this report, Maryam Davoudian suffers from multiple illnesses, including diabetes, thalassemia, and rheumatoid arthritis, and the lack of access to essential medications and appropriate medical services during detention has placed the health and life of this 58-year-old citizen under serious threat.

As of the time of publishing this report, no precise information has been released regarding the reason for her arrest or the possible charges brought against Maryam Davoudian.
