Updated Report: Number of Detainees in Piranshahr Rises to Six

With the identification of two more individuals, Hiwa Shojaei and Anwar Ebrahimi, the number of people arrested on Monday, January 20, 2025, in Piranshahr has reached six. Previously, the arrests of Mohammad Sohrabi, Morad Estavar, Ne’mat Ahmadnejad, and Fardin Mahmoudi had been reported.

According to Kolbarnews, six citizens were arrested in Piranshahr on January 20. The report states that the arrests of Anwar Ebrahimi, 37, from the village of Kohneh Lajan, and Hiwa Shojaei, 34, from Piranshahr, were carried out by security forces without presenting judicial warrants.

Earlier, the arrests of Mohammad Sohrabi, Fardin Mahmoudi, and two others, Morad Estavar and Ne’mat Ahmadnejad, had been reported in the early hours of the same day. Among them, Mohammad Sohrabi, a participant in the nationwide protests of 2022, had previously faced judicial actions and convictions for his activities.
