Saqqez; Arrest of a Citizen and Continued Lack of Information About Her Situation

Sheida Sheikhi, a 25-year-old citizen from Saqqez, has been arrested by the forces of the Intelligence Department of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and so far no information about her fate or place of detention is available.

According to Kolbarnews on the evening of Saturday, April 4, 2026, Sheida Sheikhi, a resident of the “Shanaz” neighborhood of Saqqez, was arrested following a raid by Intelligence Department forces on her family home, without the presentation of a judicial warrant, and was transferred to an unknown location.
Based on obtained information, this operation took place around 23:00 at night, and security forces, while conducting a full search of the house, confiscated a number of this citizen’s personal belongings, including her laptop and mobile phone.

An informed source in this regard has stated that the arrest of Sheida Sheikhi was carried out without presenting any legal documentation, and so far no official institution has been accountable regarding her situation.

Several days after the arrest, still no precise information has been published regarding the attributed charges, place of detention, or condition of this citizen, and her family’s follow-ups have also remained unsuccessful.
