Sanandaj: Sanan Nowruzi, has been summoned to serve a prison sentence

Sanan Nowruzi, a resident of Sanandaj, must report to prison within the next ten days to begin serving his three-month imprisonment sentence, according to a recent notification.

According to Kolbarnews, Sanan Nowruzi, a resident of Sanandaj, is obliged to present himself to prison by the 29th of April 2024 and commence his three-month imprisonment.

Mr. Nowruzi had previously been sentenced to eight months of disciplinary imprisonment by the military court of Sanandaj on charges of “disclosing government documents.” Upon his appeal, this sentence was reduced to six months, and considering his previous detention, it was further reduced to three months.

It is worth mentioning that Nowruzi was arrested in May-June 2022 and was released on bail after three months. He has also been sentenced to three years of suspended imprisonment in another case on charges of “associating with one of the Kurdish opposition parties.”
