He had been arrested on January 18, 2026, when security forces raided his home without presenting a judicial warrant and transferred him to an undisclosed location.
After 25 days of interrogation and confinement in a solitary cell at a security detention center in Kermanshah, he was transferred to Dizel-Abad Prison, where he remained until his release.

According to received information, Bahman Naderi was denied access to a lawyer and family visits throughout his detention. During his time in solitary confinement, he was also deprived of the right to make telephone calls.

Bahman Naderi, who is married and was born on May 2, 1991, is a civil activist from Kermanshah who has repeatedly faced summonses, arrests, and judicial prosecution in recent years because of his protest activities, publications and calls related to the anniversaries of the Jina Revolutionary uprising, and his activity on social media.

A review of his judicial record shows that since 2023 he has been summoned or arrested at least four times by security institutions and has faced charges including “propaganda against the system,” “assembly and collusion to disrupt national security,” and “insulting public officials.” As a result of these cases, multiple sentences have been issued against him, including prison terms, suspended sentences, and monetary fines.

In one case, Bahman Naderi was arrested on September 12, 2023, on the eve of the first anniversary of the Jina Revolutionary uprising by forces of the IRGC Intelligence Organization. He was temporarily released one week later after posting bail of 500 million tomans. Subsequently, on March 26, 2024, Branch One of the Revolutionary Court of Kermanshah sentenced him to six months of imprisonment and an eight-million-toman fine on the charge of “propaganda against the system.”

He was also summoned to the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office in Kermanshah on January 28, 2024, and was charged with “propaganda against the system” for publishing calls to boycott elections on social media. After several hours in detention, he was released on bail of 400 million tomans. Later, on May 2, 2024, he was summoned to the Revolutionary Court of Kermanshah to present his final defense in that case.

Bahman Naderi was arrested again on September 10, 2024, during the second anniversary of the Jina Revolutionary uprising. After approximately one month in the IRGC Intelligence detention center in Kermanshah and the completion of interrogations, he was transferred to Dizel-Abad Prison. On October 30, 2024, he was temporarily released after posting bail of 600 million tomans.

In addition, on December 11, 2024, Branch One of the Revolutionary Court of Kermanshah sentenced him to one year of suspended imprisonment and a fine of 10 million tomans on the charge of “propaganda against the system.” In another case, on January 8, 2025, Branch 105 of Criminal Court Two of Kermanshah sentenced him to six months of imprisonment for “insulting public officials and officers.”
