Erfan Jameh-Shourani, a young Kurdish citizen from Kermanshah, has been identified as another victim of the nationwide protests in the city.
He was killed by direct gunfire from government forces during the crackdown on demonstrators in the Jafarabad neighborhood.

According to Kolbarnews, Erfan Jameh-Shourani was shot and killed on the evening of Thursday, January 7, 2026, during public protests in Jafarabad, Kermanshah. As of the time of this report, no further details have been released regarding his age, family status, or the exact circumstances surrounding the handling or transfer of his body.
It is also unclear whether Jameh-Shourani’s family was forced to pay money or sign written commitments in order to receive his body. However, informed sources previously told Kolbarnews that government institutions in Kermanshah have demanded sums ranging from 700 million to one billion tomans from families in exchange for handing over the bodies of those killed during the protests, leaving families with little choice but to comply.
