Kermanshah; Death of Mahna Dokoshkani, an 18-Year-Old Youth, During Popular Protests

Mahna Dokoshkani, an 18-year-old young girl from Kermanshah, was targeted by direct live gunfire from suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic during nationwide protests in the city and lost his life.

According to Kolbarnews, Mahna Dokoshkani, an 18-year-old Kurdish youth from Kermanshah, was shot by government forces on the evening of Thursday, January 8, 2026, in the Saadi neighborhood of Kermanshah and lost her life.

Her body was buried on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Bagh-e Ferdows Cemetery in Kermanshah.

It is still unclear whether the family was required to pay money or sign a written pledge in order to receive Mahna Dokoshkani’s body.

Local sources had previously reported that government institutions demanded amounts ranging from 700 million to one billion tomans from families in Kermanshah in exchange for handing over the bodies of those killed, forcing families to pay these sums.
